Thousands of
New Solutions
&
Interface Updates

Today we are releasing our largest batch of new solutions to date! In fact, we added so many new solutions that we needed to completely revamp the solution selector!

This update includes an intuitive new interface for finding solutions and quickly switching between them! Now you can switch between depths or solution types while staying in the same spot.

But that’s not all. We also added the ability to save filters in reports, randomize/increment the board (switch between the runouts with hotkeys), a new Strategy+EQ view, and we’ve added several updates to the Trainer’s information panel.

We intend to add an extra MTT tier with more solutions in the future. This new tier will cover thousands of ICM and PKO spots. Don’t worry, you won’t lose access to any solutions you’ve had up to this point. Premium members can access the new ICM solutions in the meantime.

New MTT Solutions

This update massively expanded our MTT library! With over 1300 new solutions to choose from, you’ll never struggle to find the right solution again!

ICM MTT (3way-8way); Final Table, 368 new solutions (PREFLOP – PREMIUM)
ICM MTT (5way-8way); Last 2 Tables, 156 new solutions (PREFLOP – PREMIUM)
ChipEV 6max MTT mixed stacks; 431 new solutions (PREFLOP – PREMIUM)
ChipEV 9max MTT mixed stacks; 373 new solutions (PREFLOP – PREMIUM)

Thousands of New Solutions & Interface Updates

The new ICM MTT solutions cover final table(s) preflop strategies with 3 to 8 players remaining. These solutions account for pay jumps which can drastically alter the right strategy. The payout structure remains the same (you can see the payouts while selecting ICM solutions in the Study mode).

Optimal ICM sizing is often counterintuitive. So we tested complex strategies with many sizes to find the optimal sizings, then removed unnecessary bet sizings for our General solutions.

The new ChipEV solutions cover 6max and 9max spots. Previously, our ChipEV solutions only covered 8max MTTs and didn’t include mixed stack depths. Now you can study more than 800 mixed stack solutions! We’re starting with preflop solutions only, and plan to add postflop later.

We intend to expand our library over the coming months! We’ll be adding thousands more ICM spots, including large-field ICM solutions, when some percent of the field remains. We are working on many PKO solutions as well.

Many users had asked for smaller 3bet sizes, especially out of the blinds. So in this update, we’re doubling our cash game solution library! These new solutions offer smaller 3bet sizes for all of our Simple and General solutions (even the General 2.5x). The size of the 3bet depends on positions and opening size.

Improve your edge with new deepstack solutions! We’ve added 200BB spots to complete our NL50 General solution set. In addition, we’ve added 300BB and 400BB deepstacked spots to our 6max Cash Straddle + Ante solutions.

New Features

New Solution Selector

We’ve added so many new solutions that we needed to upgrade the Solution selector! This new interface makes it easy to find the right spot. You’ll see this menu whenever you open the Solution browser:

Thousands of New Solutions & Interface Updates

We’ve designed this interface to make choosing the right solution easier. In the top-left cornergto-wizard-thousand-new-solutions-upgraded-solution-selector-2, select the format you want to study. A preview of your solution is shown in the top-right cornergto-wizard-thousand-new-solutions-upgraded-solution-selector-3. Below, you’ll see a description of the solution that tells you about the rake structure, spots available, ante, sizings, and accuracy. Start by selecting the format in the top-left corner. Next, filter and sort the table for the type of solution you need.

For cash games, you can filter by:

  • Stack depth
  • Type of solution
  • Rake structure

For MTT’s, you can filter by stack distribution. This is especially important for ICM scenarios where different stack distributions can change your risk premium and strategy. We’ve categorized stack distributions into four groups: Symmetric, Near, Big Stack and Far. The goal is to group strategically-similar stack distributions to make studying easier.

Thousands of New Solutions & Interface Updates
  • Symmetric – Equal stack sizes. This means all players have the same stack depth. Symmetric stack depths tend to have less ICM pressure.
  • Near – Stack depths are close to each other; between 1-3BB away from each other.
  • Big Stack – One or two bigger stacks relative to the rest of the table. Big stacks have a lot of influence on ICM strategies as they can often bully the smaller stacks and pay a lower risk premium.
  • Far – Stack depths vary more; between 3-7BB away from each other. Varied stack depths alter the risk premium and strategy between short/mid/large stacks.
  • Symmetric

You can sort headers in the table to find what you need. For example, we’ve sorted the table by average stack depth in this picture. You can scroll through the solutions using your mouse wheel or using the bar on the right-hand side:

If you don’t want to be shown the solution menu every time, simply deselect the “show on entering study mode gto-wizard-show-on-entering-study-mode-checkbox” checkbox. This means your previous solutions will stay open.

Quickswitch Solutions

Many Wizards value comparing and contrasting different types of solutions and stack depths. Previously, when you chose a new solution, you’d lose your spot in the tree and have to select all the actions, cards, and positions again. That’s why we’ve added the new QuickSwitch feature! This feature saves your spot in the tree, including the positions, board, and bet sizes. You can switch between depths/solutions using your mouse. Click the arrow underneath the solution selector to open the QuickSwitch menu:

Thousands of New Solutions & Interface Updates

This is a quick and easy way to compare strategies in different solutions and stack depths. Note that some solutions have different bet sizes, so the nearest bet sizes (as a percentage of the pot) will be chosen. We also added a hotkey to make this feature easier to use! Press your keyboard’s up or down arrow to cycle through similar solutions and stack depths quickly!

Save Filters in Reports

Aggregate reports show you the strategy for all possible flops in some chosen spot. These are great for building heuristics and finding deeper trends. A big part of building heuristics is applying filters to find strategically similar spots. That’s why we’ve added the ability to save and recall your filters!

Select the Save button on the bottom left to save your filtering criteria.

Randomize Board

Now you can choose random board cards simply by pressing this button:

Thousands of New Solutions & Interface Updates

If there are already chosen cards on the board, it will only randomize the blank cards. This can be used to easily randomize turns/rivers while keeping the rest of the board the same.

Increment Board

Thousands of New Solutions & Interface Updates

We’ve added new hotkeys to increment the board using shift + arrow commands:

  • (Shift + ←) or (Shift + →) Will increase or decrease the last card on the board
  • (Shift + ↑) or (Shift + ↓) Will change the suit of the last card on the board

This is a quick and intuitive way to see how the strategy changes on different runouts!

Add coaching seminars to your calendar

With this feature, you can automatically import coaching seminars to your Google or Apple Calendar (you can do so on the coaching page here).

Strategy + Equity View

The new Strategy + EQ view color-codes your range according to its strategy while maintaining the equity display. This functions exactly like Strategy+EV mode, except the numbers display your equity instead.

This feature is a great way to see how hands with different equity behave! Select this view from the strategy dropdown menu in the Solution browser (or press 1 to cycle through the menu):

Trainer Info Panel Improvements

We’ve upgraded the information panel in the Trainer!

Firstly, we added the equity distribution graph to the info panel so you can quickly view the range advantages, and where your hand exists in that range. This functions exactly the same way as the equity graph in the Ranges Tab of the Solution browser.

Thousands of New Solutions & Interface Updates

Secondly, we’ve highlighted your hand in the strategy matrix of the info panel. This makes it easier to see what your hand should be doing at a glance:

Lastly, we’ve added range comparison filtering features in the Trainer’s info panel popup. Select either player’s range, choose the Ranges Tab, then use the dropdown to compare and filter different hand categories, draws, and equity buckets. This functions exactly like the Ranges tab in the Solution browser.

Timebank Stop

The final feature we’ve added was a timebank stop to the Trainer. Hover over your player and you’ll see a stop button. This pauses your timebank until you make another move.
