New Practice Mode Dashboard

Train like a Pro

Get an overview of your performance with the new Practice Mode Dashboard! You can review previously practiced hands/sessions and view your stats. Click the Practice menu at the top of GTO Wizard to access this page.

Stats

Train like a Pro

Take your training to the next level by reviewing your Stats page! From here, you can filter by format, date, and preflop actions. This is a great way to find your leaks and get detailed information about your overall performance with our Trainer.

The Stats page displays the number of hands/moves played, mistakes, GTO Wizard score, and EV losses. EV losses are displayed in big blinds and as a percentage of the pot.

Note – We have added new filters to filter your hands. Let us know if you want us to add different filters on our Discord.

Practiced hands

Train like a Pro

Previously, there was no way to review previously practiced hands or sessions. This made it difficult to track your progress over time or review your play. That’s why we’ve added a new Sessions page and Hands page!

Use the Practiced hands page to review hands you’ve previously played against our Trainer. This page functions similarly to our Hand History Analyzer. You can sort the table by EV loss, date, frequency difference, and more!

Select any hand to open a sidebar displaying the hand history overview. Then, select the replay icongto-wizard-hand-history-toolbar-replay-a-hand to scroll through the action!

We’ve added a new stat here – Frequency difference (Freq. Diff%). This stat measures the sum of frequencies that you missed compared to the most frequent action in every spot. A higher frequency difference indicates you’re taking low-frequency lines.

Practiced sessions

Train like a Pro

Track your progress with our new Sessions page! From here, you can view the performance of previous Trainer sessions. Click the dropdown of any session to see EV losses, GTOW score, and more. Select the Show hands button to open a table of hand histories played in that session. You can replay hands in the session with our built-in Replayer.

Improved performance metrics

We’ve improved the way GTO Wizard measures your performance in Practice Mode.

Firstly, we’ve changed the GTOW Score formula. Previously, each move was graded on a scale from 0 to 100. This formula didn’t punish inaccurate play and rewarded low-risk behaviour. We’ve rescaled it to -100 to 100, with inaccuracies being 0. This means inaccurate play will be scored more harshly, and correct play will be rewarded more intensely.

If that sounds daunting, don’t worry! We added a difficulty setting to Practice Mode in our last update that allows users to use grouped actions for an easier training session.

View EV loss as a percentage of the pot!

EV loss is measured as how much you’d lose compared to if you had played GTO. This is a great metric to track your progress. Previously, EV loss was only shown in big blinds. However, you’ll naturally lose more EV in bigger pots. So we’ve added loss as a percentage of the pot to help you better understand your performance and compare accuracy across different pot sizes.

Frequency difference

This stat measures the sum of frequencies that you missed compared to the most frequent action in every spot. A higher frequency difference indicates you’re taking low-frequency lines.

EV loss per mistake

EV loss per mistake indicates how big are the mistakes that you are making. You could spot, for example, that you are making very few mistakes, but they are significant mistakes and cost you a lot of EV every time you make a mistake.

New Session Summary

When you finish a training session, you’ll be greeted with a new Session Summary page! From here you can see an overview of your performance and review previously played hands.
